Frontend developer and visual journalist


I am a computer science student with an upper level concentration in journalism. I have been programming for over a decade, in which time I have gained a diverse range of experiences with programming and other related fields, including graphics design, UI/UX design, digital media and visual journalism. These experiences are reflected in my portfolio, which includes many visual design and journalism-related projects.

Work Experience

Datsura Analytics, Remote (Web Developer Intern)

June 2023 to August 2023

Datsura is a consulting firm which did not have a website, which was a detriment to their ability to attract customers.

Prototyped, designed and developed a new website to showcase the company’s capabilities. Documented maintenance instructions and handed off the website to the company. The website is actively being used by the company to attract customers.


Capital News Service, College Park, MD (Broadcast Production Student)

September 2021 to December 2023

CNS is a news outlet run by the Merrill College of Journalism at UMD where students can gain real world journalism work experience.

Worked as a cameraman, graphics designer, floor director and teleprompter operator for live news broadcasts. Worked as a scriptwriter, storyboard artist and video editor (as well as cameras/graphics) for promo production. Produced animations and graphics (including in real time) for the 2022 Midterm Election Night Broadcast.


Fannie Mae (contractor), Remote (Computer Science Intern)

June 2021 to August 2021

The Common Cashflow Analytics (CCFA) software is utilized in the accounting and financial reporting division at Fannie Mae.

Wrote code in Java and debugged and streamlined JUnit tests being used to test CCFA software (whitebox testing). Gained experience with Agile workflow and the Unix Operating System.


Land Trust Alliance, Washington, DC (IT Intern)

June 2018 and August 2019

Land Trust Alliance holds an annual rally, and they need their laptops to be refreshed to near factory performance for it.

Rebuilt company laptops to restore them to near baseline performance ahead of the annual rally. Replaced laptop components, performed clean OS installs, then reinstalled LTA’s specified software and updates.
